Duck Dynasty’s Sadie Robertson Making Video Devotionals, Modest Clothing Line

Sixteen-year-old Christian Sadie Robertson from A&E’s hit show “Duck Dynasty” is producing weekly video devotionals on Monday nights called “I Am Different.” The teenager is also designing a clothing line in an effort to encourage modesty in a culture where fashion trends are often contrary to the ways of the Lord.

Sadie Robertson does not have a typical teenage lifestyle. The high school student from Monroe, Louisiana loves the Lord, is close with her family, and excels in sports – and she also happens to be a reality television star. Sadie told TC Magazine that she realizes that God has given her fame in order for her to make a difference for Christ. “When we were little and said our prayers at night, I would always say, ‘God, please give me an opportunity to make a difference in this world.’ I mean, you always want to, but you never know how to do it. Now that God’s blessed us with this TV show, here’s that opportunity,” she said. Even though the producers of “Duck Dynasty” edit out much of the Robertson’s faith-based lives, Sadie says that people have been positively impacted by even so much as the short prayer that patriarch Phil Robertson prays over the family meal at the end of each episode.

Sadie knows that her status as a television star will give her an opportunity to be a good example for other young women. “I think it’s awesome that people see something in me that’s different, but it’s really a challenge to me and my spiritual way and everything. If little girls are looking up to me, I’ve got to be the example they need. If I’m going to claim that I’m different from everybody else on TV, I’ve got to be different than everybody else. It’s encouraging to me and really helping me to be a better person,” she said.

Sadie and her best friend have created “I Am Different,” a weekly devotional video series on YouTube. “People think they need to be a part of the world to have fun. To see that we can have fun and still be Christian-based, that’s cool, that’s different,” she said. The two teenagers are hoping and praying that the devotions will expand peoples’ way of thinking. “The world’s view is completely opposite from God’s view,” said Sadie in Monday’s introduction video. She read Romans 12:2 – “Don’t copy the behaviors and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect” (New Living Translation). The girls plan to release a YouTube video via their Twitter account, @_i_am_different, each Monday.

What a wonderful thing for you to do! And you said what I have said many times about the responsibility of a person who is in the limelight and that is to be a positive role model. I wish I had known your parents as my own children were growing up.

We need more examples of girls like this. Even the very young girls today are dressing in tight hip huger jeans and it breaks your heart to see it.
This country is going to hell in a hand basket and we need more Godly people to come forward and be out there.
Thank you Sadie for taking the lead on this and God Bless you for it.

I have done everything in my power to teach my teen girls to dress modestly including as a roll model. But they go to public school BY LAW and there they teach them to be immoral and dress like street walkers. I would check as they left for school and if I go to school for some reason find they have changed their cloths and I do not even recognize them. I tried to take them out of public school but it is no longer a right to go to school. I can go to jail if I home school them. I just hope I have taught them enough so when they fail as adults they will know where to turn……back to God.

The Liberals agenda has always been most active in our education system, Unions and Hollywood. It has been a 3 pronged approach at demoralizing the American will, which saved the world because of our older generations strong moral fiber!

I unplugged commercial TV when they were babies. We don’t see movies very often and never anything over pg13 though I have now learned they see even R movies at SCHOOL! The liberal system is attacking our children from every angle. I am powerless. I even fear I will be accused by my kids of something bad so they can be taken to foster care where they would be free from my rules at last. They were talking about what another teen did so I just wait.

The Robertson Family is the best thing to happen to America since Ronald Reagan became President! They bring Pride and Honor and Honesty back to those who watch their show. I live in Europe, where Morals are in the sewer, and had never heard of Duck Dynasty until I visited my homestate of Oklahoma, back in May, and my sister turned me on to them. I am a hardcore diehard fan now! The core values that the Robertson’s have need to be spread throughout America! God Bless Duck Dynasty and the Robertson Family! And may God punish those in power who are Deceitful and Untrustworthy, like Obama!
